My day usually starts by eating breakfast sometime around 4 or 5 am (Depending if it's my M-W-F day or T-Thu). I'm at the gym by 4:30, or 5:30, and I'm coaching until 9:30am. I would continuously find myself having to snack on protein shakes, granola bars, fruit, and coffee until lunch. No matter how much I ate for breakfast I had the hunger monster on my back. Sometimes I'd try to just LOAD my stomach up with eggs, toast, turkey bacon, and fruit, thinking that if I ate a lot in one setting I'd be full for a few hours. That seemed to work, however I was SUPER bloated and trying to work and demonstrate lifts on a full stomach isn't ideal.
I recently revamped my Arbonne Business, first getting back into the skincare line and then back to incorporating the nutrition into my vigorous training routine.
Arbonne has introduced a new 30 detox program which sounded perfect for me (more information on that later to come). With my new schedule I was constantly hungry and exhausted, and my recent body fat analysis revealed that my fat weight was at an all time high.
It was time to figure out this Yo-Yo nutrition cycle of mine and have a better relationship with food. My sugar levels have also been all over the place. I kid you not, if I felt tired I'd grab a handful of gummy bears before heading out for a run and would crash later on in the day thinking I was "tired" from my run.
I prepare my morning shake the night before, so I don't wake my husband up at 4am with my nutribullet.
Throughout the day I eat meals (i'm eating scrambled eggs at the moment) consisting of meat, veggies, and carbs. All of the pictured items are great to sip on through out my day and keep me from the constant snacking I use to partake in. The chocolate protein is AH-MA-ZING for that sweet tooth craving at night.
As an athlete, i'm ready to take my health to the next level and have a better understanding of how my body works, why I feel so bloated after I eat, and find better foods for optimal health and performance.
